Appetizers were good and generously portioned. Mango salad was a table favorite, with subtle heat distributed throughout the fruit, jicama, cucumber and vermicelli-crusted peanuts. The edamame were hot and slightly salty; the slippery seaweed salad, with its touch of sesame oil, was gone within a couple of minutes. Fried pork gyoza with a gingered soy sauce were also good. Chicken satay was tender and played nicely against chunks of crisp cucumber; Asian spiced calamari was its equal, battered and fried but not overly so, lightly dressed and servedon a bed of mesclun.

Aja caught my eye with its unique exterior, after finding out they are a sister restaurant of Ganga in Old Bridge, I had to give it a try. My boyfriend and I went one Friday night, luckily not needing to wait, we were immediately seated. Upon entering, I was amazed by the unique interior design, extremely modern and stylish. Most importantly, this place is CLEAN.

They have a large food and drink menu so there is certainly plenty to choose from, that being, said read the food descriptions to try something new! Their portions are fair and filling, I ordered two sushi rolls (rock and roll and the volcano roll), they are so big I couldn’t even finish them. Best sushi ever. The Oregon Pinot noir was awesome the service was fantastic and the prices were overall not bad. All combined the experience was great the atmosphere was very modern and comfortable. My girlfriend and I had a great time. Natalie out waitress was right on with wine recommendations and although the food took a little longer than normal to come to the table but it was SO WORTH THE WAIT !!!!! Anyone who doesn’t rate this place as 4 or higher just doesn’t understand this cuisine. I’m coming back!!!!

I truly enjoyed my second visit to Aja. The price to performance ratio for this restaurant is unbeatable. We went in a little early (5:30) and enjoyed the cocktails (Kaffir Lime Ginger martini) at half-price. We ordered a variety of appetizers. The specialty rolls and ribs were grreat. I had the duck roast for my entree and shared the fried rice over scrambled eggs. We were a party of 8 and the bartender and servers took care of us really well. My favorite restaurant in the New Brunswick/Edision area

This is probably one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve been in NJ. The food is spectacular. I love the atmosphere and the design. One of my favorite pleases to go to @ Central Jersey.
